Originaltext:
On the occasion of Open Studios (Sept 16th+17th) Can Kiosk presents „Some Lines From Tel Aviv", an exhibition by Michael Heym who invited artists from Europe and Israel in order to extend his logic of ideas on a display structure made of magnetic wall lines.
As the title indicates the lines on the wall are one of many ambiguous references but can also be applied on the way how most two-dimensional artifacts were transferred: Photographs, video stills, notes, drawings and reproductions of sculptures - orchestrating a delusional intimacy of artistic practice - had been sent as messages via the Internet in order to be produced later on specifically for the structure at a gallery space of Tel Aviv Artists’ Studios.
Artists Invited: Ohad Ben Shimon, Alexander Bornschein, Eitan Buganim, Sabine Dusend, Jonas Gerhard, Nir Harel, Michael Heym, Bastian Hoffmann, Shai-Lee Horodi, Hannah Hummel, Damaris Kerkhoff, Christoph Kilian, Bram Kuypers, Henning Frederik Malz, Lukas Marxt, Yotam Menda-Levy, Christine Moldrickx, Geut Naim, Johannes Post, Allan Rand, Lukas Schmenger, Monika Stricker, Ben Van den Berghe, Yasmin Vardi, Nico Joana Weber, Alexandra Wolff.
Open Studios take place September 16+17, 2016, open Friday and Saturday 11-14. Address: Sadnaot HaOmanim (Artists’ Studios Tel Aviv), Kalisher St. 5, Tel Aviv Israel.
Michael Heym received the Bronner residency for the second half of 2016, supported by Kunststiftung NRW, Germany, in collaboration with the Artists’ Studios Tel Aviv and the Goethe Institut Tel Aviv.
